Hi, I’m Kendi. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas, supervised by Darlene Johnson, LPC-S. I help people who are loving someone through addiction — because I’ve been there too.
For years, I walked alongside people I loved who were struggling with addiction. I know what it’s like to feel helpless, heartbroken, and emotionally torn between holding on and letting go.
That experience changed me. It taught me about the depth of pain addiction causes — not just for the person using, but for the people who love them. It also taught me about grace: the kind that doesn't always look the way we expect, but still shows up.
That’s why I became a counselor.
I earned my Master’s in Addiction Counseling from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2025, but long before that, I was the friend who others came to when they needed a safe space. Now, I get to do that every day — helping Christians feel seen, supported, and grounded in both truth and grace.
Outside of the office, I’m a wife, mom, and someone who values honesty, prayer, and strong coffee. I believe laughter and tears often go hand-in-hand, and I consider it a deep privilege to walk with people during some of the hardest — and most sacred — parts of their story.
I love playing with old film cameras! It's a hobby of mine.

Your fifth must-have would go right about here. Yup, yup.
I utilize theories that help create space for healing that is both clinically grounded and spiritually anchored — where psychology and faith work hand in hand.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy aligns with the biblical call to bring our thoughts captive and align them with truth (Romans 12:2).
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy mirrors the biblical principle of surrender and walking by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Narrative Therapy invites us to look at the stories we’ve been told — and the ones we tell ourselves — and consider how they can be rewritten with hope. The Bible is a story of redemption, and through Christ, our stories are never beyond healing or restoration.
Everything in business is learnable, fixable, and figureoutable.
